Becoming Wonder Woman Camp

I’m so blessed to be on this squad and work alongside these great human beings. Thank you Remi for inviting me to be a part of your 9th Wonder Foundation’s “Becoming Wonder Woman” Basketball Camp in Melbourne, Australia. It was mind-blowing!

Remi started his organization in honor of his sister MAREA (born Sept 9th), who passed away a few years back due to a rare lung disease. He wore a shirt during the camp with the acronym for her name (Mentoring, Aspire, Resilient, Elevate, Achieve). The story was so powerful and the work he does in the community (Houston and beyond) is even more powerful. Remi is truly passionate about helping the underserved community, kids with special needs and more. I would love to challenge you to donate to his organization knowing that your funds are going to make an impact. I’ve seen it for myself.

The past two days, girls from ages 7-15 experienced basketball training and character building as well as a powerful sessions on mental health, abuse, and self-love. I’m so proud of our team. We put in some serious work and it was all worth it..

Thanks to all of these awesome girls who participated in the camp. I’m going to miss seeing your smiling faces and blank stares from not understanding my weird US vocabulary. 😂 I learned so many new words that I can’t wait to share with my friends back in Houston. Thank you for teaching me new things!

“ Thank you so very much for bringing this opportunity to our girls at Kilsyth! Maddy absolutely loved both days of the program and has come home very happy and positive!  This is exactly the boost that she needed!”
