For my daughter’s 15th birthday, we flew to Disney World for a day to experience Animal Kingdom! We had an incredible time! We flew out of Houston Saturday morning, arrived in Orlando around 11am and headed directly to Mickey’s house! Here are the 10 things you absolutely MUST DO if you go to Animal Kingdom! These won’t disappoint!

1. Avatar Flight of Passage (Go at night time!) This ride may just be the best ride in all of Disney World. INCREDIBLE!

2. Navi’ River Journey – Cool ride but more so for little ones. The special effects are amazing!

3. Kali River Rapids (It was under construction when we were there but Disney employees tell me this is a must!)

4. Feathered Friends in Flight! This outdoor bird show was spectacular. The most amazing birds from all over the world put on a real interactive show.

5. Maharajan Jungle Trek – I enjoyed seeing the tigers, the birds and more!

6. Expedition Everest – I didn’t ride this ride but my daughter and her bestie did. They both said it was awesome!

7. Kilimanjaro Safaris (25-minute safari excursion with gators, giraffes, hippos and more) 

8. Lunch at Yak and Yeti – If you love Asian cuisine, you will love this place! Great food (a little pricey but delicious!)

9. Grab a Night Blossom Slushee from from Pongu Pongu (Thank me later!)

10. Visit the Tree of Life (At night time this tree comes alive and you don’t want to miss the show! It is magical.)
