End of the Year Reflection

This year was filled with gratitude! At the end of each year I take time to reflect upon my achievements, what I learned, the happiest moments and even the most challenging situations. I spend time thinking about my strengths and weakness of the year and who or what helped me to grow. I would like to encourage you to do the same. Reflection helps to bring about self-awareness and growth.

Here are my Top 10 Accomplishments this year

My First TED TALK!!!

Teamed up with Be a 9th Wonder Foundation to host a basketball empowerment program for 80 girls in Costa, Rica

I completed my first semester at Houston Christian University with a 3.75 (I’m a Junior BTW! Finally completing my degree)

Started a new contract position at a high school and I LOVE MY JOB!!!

Gained my first scholarship for school!

I have 4 successful devotionals on the YouVersion Bible App!

I get to work with my bestie in her business!

I spoke my very first message at Youth Church at The Fountain of Praise

I took a road trip to Cincinnati to see my family that I haven’t seen in years!

I held my first Respect My Crown event in 4 years! I was beautiful!

My happiest moments were being able to share new experiences with my daughter. Raising my daughter was also my most challenging moments this year as well.

As far as my strengths, I believe I became more confident this year. I saw myself not settling for things that I may have in the past. I was bold in my ask this year when it came to business opportunities and they all panned out!

My weakness is definitely not knowing what I’m doing as a parent. I’m finding that many parents who are raising teens feel the same way. I’m learning as I go.

This year was filled with learning opportunities that were both enlightening and uncomfortable. But I made it without any scars! Looking forward to another fun-filled year of joy! Wishing the same to you!
