When I first started my non-profit back in 2010, I was struggling to find funding. For years, I paid for everything until I developed a strong Board of Directors who insisted that I stop paying out of pocket. Our incredible Executive Director at the time put in blood, sweat and tears to find us funding to support our program for girls. 12 years later – we’ve had sponsorships from Microsoft, HEB, Puma, Charming Charlie and many more. Plus, grants locally from Harris County Department of Education’s CASE program and United Way to name just a few.
